Mark Quigley joined the Contour team in September 2016 as Managing Director to take Contour through its next stage of evolution and expansion.
Mark has an MBA from Sheffield Business School and is a highly experienced banker and real estate lender with a proven track-record over many years. Mark has financed property development schemes all across the UK and has wide experience of different types of debt and bond finance.
With Barclays Bank from the mid-eighties, in 1997 Mark joined the Specialist Property Finance Team at the bank’s Head Office and from then on his career remained involved in real estate lending predominantly in providing development finance for residential and commercial schemes. In 2008, Mark established and led Barclays’ Student Accommodation Team successfully lending throughout the credit crunch.
In 2012, Mark was appointed Head of Real Estate, East of England for Barclays before specialising in residential development at Titlestone Property Finance from early 2015. He is a member of the Association of Property Lenders and has built-up a large network of contacts within the property sector.

Brian James joined the Contour team in March 2017 as a Director, predominantly to manage Contour’s investments and existing client relationships.
Brian is a very experienced and highly regarded property financier, having operated in the UK real estate market for over 18 years. Brian started his career in 1990 at Barclays and undertook numerous finance and relationship management roles there, before joining Barclays’ Specialist Property Finance Team in 2000 to provide structured finance loans to UK borrowers, with a specialism in development finance. In 2006, Brian moved to Barclays Capital and co-headed a team with his prime responsibility being to manage all development loans.
In 2008, Brian joined Bank of Ireland’s Real Estate Finance Team, to originate and execute mezzanine loans and equity transactions. Following the market downturn, Brian moved into the Specialist Property Group division and was appointed as Team Lead for the UK book in 2011. In 2012, Brian joined Deutsche Pfandbriefbank (pbb) to asset manage real estate loans domiciled in the UK; Holland; and Portugal on behalf of the German Government quango FMS Wertmanagement, with prime responsibility for larger and more complex loans.
Brian became an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers in 1995.

Paul O’Kane joined Contour Capital in July 2015 as an Associate Director, to assist in managing the company’s investments and relationships, as well as growing the business.
Paul has BSc Mathematics with Engineering and MSc Finance degrees, as well as being a member of Chartered Accountants Ireland. He qualified as a chartered accountant (ACA) whilst working for KPMG Corporate Finance, primarily focusing on business / investment appraisals and funding proposals.
He later moved into banking, initially lending to real estate clients (investment & development loans) across both the residential and commercial sectors. More recently he has worked for Lloyds Banking Group, spending time in the Real Estate restructuring team, followed by a spell of lending in the Leveraged Finance space.
In his career to date, Paul has worked with a diverse range of clients (individuals, private and public companies) developing strong relationships and often dealing with large complex situations. With his experience he has the key attributes to help meet the needs of Contour’s Investment Partners.

Chloé joined Contour Capital in March 2016 to assist with the execution and day-to-day management of investments, as the company continues to grow.
Prior to joining the team, Chloé worked at Accola Capital as an Analyst in the corporate finance team and was involved in M & A, Commercial Real Estate and Securitisations. Prior to this, Chloé worked at Raymond James Euro Equities (in Paris) where her role involved writing equity research reports (company and industry level), financial projections, and the daily monitoring of market events. Chloé commenced her working life with EY as a junior auditor in Paris in August 2012.
Chloé has a Masters in Management (specialising in Finance) from Neoma Business School, is a native French speaker, fluent in English and advanced in Spanish.
With the strong analytical skills she has gained, Chloé is well equipped to help manage the demands of Contour’s Partners.
Andrew Johnson is a co-founder of Contour Capital and Chairman of the board.
With more than 25 years’ experience in the property market Andrew Johnson is a hands on Chairman.
Having a construction and agency background in which he established companies in both of these sectors Andrew formed Chancerygate in 1996 to concentrate on industrial development.
His agency and construction businesses were sold in 2000 thus allowing Andrew to focus on a rapid expansion of Chancerygate as a development and asset management company.

James is Finance Director and Company Secretary of Contour Capital.
James qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1996 with Price Waterhouse, before specialising in Real Estate and Public Company advisory within the Corporate Finance division of PricewaterhouseCoopers. This included two years on secondment to The Panel on Takeovers and Mergers.
James went on to spend five years with Quintain Estates & Development as their Corporate Finance and Investment Analyst, responsible for the investment appraisal and analysis for both the development and fund management divisions.
James joined Chancerygate in 2008 and heads up all financial activities undertaken by the group.
Peter qualified as a Solicitor in 1989 and spent ten years in private practice with a prominent City law firm. He acts as an Investment Board member.
Peter specialises in commercial litigation and intellectual property.
Peter subsequently moved into the world of commerce before setting up and running a Family Office and Charitable Foundation. He remains a practising lawyer and, as a Trustee, he has significant experience in the creation of private Trusts together with their operation and management. Through his wider investment responsibilities, Peter has been involved in commercial property investment for over ten years.
Whilst continuing his Family Office and charitable duties, Peter joined Chancerygate in 2010 as General Counsel and in-house legal adviser bringing to the team a wealth of experience and providing a valuable service not often seen within a private property company.
Investment Board Member
Qualified in 1986 as a chartered surveyor Eddie was elected as a Fellow of The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors in 1997. He has been a member of the Investment Board of Contour Capital since the firm was established.
Eddie has over 35 years’ experience in the property sector and prior to joining Chancerygate in 2001 he worked at Liverpool Victoria Friendly Society from 1978 where he was Senior Portfolio Manager responsible for the commercial property investment portfolios of the company’s UK Life Fund and Staff Pension Fund having a combined value in excess of £550m.
In addition to his role as Managing Director and Board Member at Chancerygate, Eddie is responsible for implementing company strategy, investment portfolio performance, acquisitions and sales and ensuring all asset management and development initiatives are delivered to client-agreed business plans.
Having graduated in 1985 he became a Chartered Surveyor in 1986 and was elected Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors in 1997. Eddie became a Liveryman in 2013 with the Worshipful Company of Chartered Surveyors; one of the City of London’s Livery Companies. He is also a member of Investment Property Forum.

Katy Evers is the office manager and personal assistant to Mark Quigley, Managing Director.
Katy provides administrative support for the Contour Capital team.
Shreeya works on our deals and assists with investor and stakeholder reporting.
Prior to joining Contour Capital Shreeya worked for Grant Thornton UK LLP as an Audit Executive with a portfolio which consisted of a wide range of both high profile corporate and pension clients across the UK. Shreeya was also part of the National Pensions team whereby she would lead audits where net assets were in excess of £6 billion. In February 2016 Shreeya qualified as a Certified Chartered Accountant.

Prior to joining the Contour Capital team, Marina graduated from Henley Business School at the University of Reading and International Real Estate Business School at the University of Regensburg in Germany with MSc in Real Estate.
During her undergraduate degree she gained experience in the real estate sector within her role as an estate agent for a global residential and commercial agency. Marina interned at a Real Estate Private Equity boutique within the transactions team and at Savills in the European valuations and client service team.
Marina is a native German speaker and fluent in English.

Gavin Morrison joined Contour Capital in January 2017 as Relationship Director, to drive growth in the mezzanine lending business and also to assist with managing the company’s existing relationships.
Gavin has extensive banking and real estate finance experience developed over 10 years with Pluto Finance, Barclays Bank and Bank of Scotland. He has financed both property development and investment schemes across a range of different asset classes throughout the UK.
Gavin initially trained with Bank of Scotland on their Graduate Leadership Programme before moving to Barclays Bank in 2008. Prior to joining Contour Capital Gavin spent 2 years at Pluto Finance where he specialised in originating and structuring stretched senior and mezzanine loans for residential development projects across the UK.
Gavin has an MA in Management from The University of Nottingham and a BSc in Economics and Politics from Loughborough University. He is a member of the Association of Property Lenders and has a large network of contacts within the property sector.
